Will 2022 be in person?
We are planning for an in person event on July 23rd weekend in 2022, as long as all Alberta restrictions allow.
Will there be an in-person walk/run at the Calgary Polo Club On July 23-24 for those who are registered as Virtual Cyclists, Runners and Walkers?
No, only cycling options will be provided on-site at the Calgary Polo Club for those who registered as in-person cyclists. If you are registered as a Virtual Cyclist, Runner or Walker, we encourage you to participate safely and virtually in another location of your choice, and share your experience on social media. You are also welcome to join us at the Calgary Polo Club as a spectator or volunteer, but please note food and beverage are for registered cyclists only.
What is the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer’s policy on COVID safety?
Can I camp overnight at the Calgary Polo Club on Saturday, July 23?
Yes, self-camping will be available at the Calgary Polo Club for both tents and trailers on July 22 and 23 (no hook-ups or dump stations available). Food and drink will not be provided on July 22. Trailers need to be registered in advance via the online check-in process, and dropped off at the venue on Friday, July 22 between 1-7pm, and removed post-event on Sunday, July 24 after 4pm. Shower and washroom facilities will be available on-site from July 22-24. Quiet hours, including generators, will be enforced overnight.
Is there a fundraising minimum?
There will be a $2500 minimum for participants who will be joining us for our two day event. However you can sign up to ride, walk, or run virtually with no minimum required.
Am I able to complete a delayed self-pledge in order to participate on event weekend, and finish my fundraising post-event?
No, you will not be able to use a credit card to create a delayed self-pledge if you are below the $2,500 fundraising minimum. All funds need to be received by July 22 in order to receive your event packet and participate in the event. If you are below the $2,500 fundraising minimum, you will be able to make a self-donation at packet pick-up prior to the event starting.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes. Registration is $50.
Can I ride an electric bike (E-bike)?
Electric bikes (E-bikes) are not permitted at the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer or its official training rides unless a valid medical exception is provided. This is for the safety of all our participants, volunteers and staff.
Is there an age requirement for this event if it is in person?
Yes, it is 16 years of age for the live event with a parent or guardian. If participating virtually, there is no age limit.
Can I still submit donations by cheque?
Yes, you can print off the donation forms from the website and mail them in to us at 710-10123 99 St NW Edmonton, AB T5J 3H1

Does the money stay in Alberta?
Yes, monies raised through this event benefit the 17 cancer centres throughout the province. From Lethbridge to Fort McMurray, Albertans helping Albertans. Your community, your cancer centre — raising money for what matters to you.
